  3.            The following files have been modified and are required for

  10.            Please note:  Upon recreating your indexes you will find there

  13.            Fixed the DOS file errors that made dos open too many files.

  15.            Added a tag to the items that have been flagged already. It
  16.            appears in orange as a check mark.
  17.  
  18.            Raised the amount of items that can be flagged from 19 to 40.

  20.            Added the ability to suppress the scroll through all items option.
  21.            This is not needed by systems running large amounts of data.

  23.            Increased the Weight Field from 3 characters to 6 characters.  This
  24.            is helpful if you do not use the freight functionality but sell
  25.            items in lots.  If this is the case just replace the WGT field with
  26.            the lot.  ie:

  30.            Rebuilt the keyword search logic.  It was messing up the screen in
  31.            certain circumstances.  No longer does this.

  38.            Sorry about the delay between releases.  I have had quite a
  39.            time in the last 2 months.  Between my system crashing and
  40.            my Brother-In-Law being shot while on duty, my mind has been
  41.            other places.  Anyways, enough of the boohooing<grin>.

  48.            This version has fixed a few bugs that people have been
  49.            reporting.  I had not planned on releasing this until I
  50.            had implemented some of the other features but once again
  51.            pressure prevails :-).

  54.            the menu.

  56.            Fixed several hangs that ocurred when a user dropped the
  57.            carrier.

  59.            Fixed the messing up of the categories screen, I think.  If

  128.          - Created a users file for The On-Line Sales Door
  129.            The door now keeps a users file for it's users.
  130.            The user will only need to fill in the order placement
  131.            screen once.  It works as follows:
  132.            The first time this version of the door is run it will
  133.            create a file named SALEUSER.  This is the user file.
  134.            When the user enters into the order placement screen
  135.            the system will check against SALEUSER to see if this
  136.            person has placed an order before.  If it finds a matching
  137.            record it will pull up the previous entries and ask the
  138.            user if they wish to edit the entries.  If the user answers
  139.            yes the system will store the changed entries.

  144.            If you have a previous version you will need to run option
  145.            'D', Define a Language File, from the setup menu.  This will
  146.            properly update your SALESTXT file.  If you are using the
  147.            default prompts that come with the Sales door then just copy
  148.            the SALESTXT file included with this release and ignore the
  149.            above.

  163.          - Modified the membership portion to automatically enter

  165.            it. This is performed using TXT2MSG.  The release file

  220.            You can now select whether or not you wish to print your
  221.            invoices and memberships.  If you set the flags to yes,
  222.            inside the General Setups options screen, the system will
  223.            automatically print the invoice or membership to the parallel
  224.            printer port you have selected within PCBoard.

  226. 06-11-91 - Added Languages Capabilities.
  227.            You can now define language files that will be called
  228.            according to the language selected by PCBoard.  The
  229.            file named SALESTXT.EXE can perform this function.  It can
  230.            be run as both a door and stand alone.  I have added routines
  231.            in the General Setup module that will generate the proper
  232.            batch file for running SALESTXT.EXE locally.

  234.            SALESTXT accesses files named SALESTXT.???.  The ???
  235.            stands for the PCBoard language file extension.
  236.            ie: PCBOARD.FRE will result in SALES looking for
  237.            a file named SALESTXT.FRE.  If it does not exist
  238.            it will default to SALESTXT.
  239.  
  240.            I have made SALESTXT.EXE into a door for various reasons.
  241.            The least of which is portability.
  242.  
  243.            As most of you know, you will need valid PCBOARD.SYS and
  244.            PCBOARD.DAT files to run this way.  For thos of you who
  245.            don't know, simply go into PCBoard locally, from the main
  246.            menu press F5.  Copy PCBOARD.SYS and PCBOARD.DAT to a
  247.            your sales directory.  Go into the SETUP program for SALES
  248.            and create a new configuration with all paths to leading to
  249.            you sales door directory.  Save the configuration using F10
  250.            and Select Define Language Files from the Setup Main Menu.

  252.            You will now be asked for a filename to edit/convert.  Enter
  253.            the name of the file.  If it does not exist the system will
  254.            create it for you.

  256.            Once you have done this you will see 2 lines of text.  The one
  257.            that is red is the line in the file you are editing.  The other
  258.            is the original prompt from the sales door.

  283.         This option will allow you to accept membership registrations
  284.         and automatically upgrade the users security level.  If you
  285.         cannot accept VISA, Mastercard, or AMEX, this option will not

  290.                 You must first create your memberships list, refer to
  291.                 membship.doc and MEMB.TXT.  It is really straight
  292.                 forward.
  293.                 Next, select 'Y' for memberships in the setup program

  295.                 Specify what the name of you memberships list is and
  296.                 the name of the file you wish to log all membership
  297.                 registrations to.
  298.                 Save the configuration file.

  300.         When you run the door you will see that another option will
  301.         appear on the main menu.

  303. 06-06-91 - Added Indexing, Category Functionality and increased limits.

  305.                    THE DATABASE IS NOW UNLIMITED!!!!!!

  307.         The On-Line Sales Door now works with indexing.  To index
  308.         your current database use selection 2 from the setup program.
  309.  
  310.         This conversion will create 26 SALESNDX.? files, a CATEGORY.BBS,
  311.         an 10 ITEMNO?.NDX and as many CAT?.BBS files as you have categories
  312.         defined.

  314.         This may take a while depending on the size of your databse.
  315.         I have tested it on a file with 5500 entries and a 286-10. It
  316.         took about 5 minutes.
  317.  
  318.         I fixed the bug with the categories.  The system will now handle
  319.         up to 99999 categories and as many items in each category as you
  320.         need.  That should be enough<grin>.

  331.  The On-Line Sales Door Now operates with a KEY file.  To Obtain a Key
  332.  File Just enter the Sales Key Door.  This key will enable all functions
  333.  in the sales door.

  337.  Demo Key: Allows you complete use of all functions for a 1 month trial.
  338.            Price: Free.

  340.  1 Year Key: Allows all functionality for a 1 year period.

  346.  The change in structure has been due to high demand, support and
  347.  modifications.
  348.  Anyone that has already registered The On-Line Sales Door has been
  349.  setup for an Unlimited Key.  All other registrations will be applied
  350.  against the above rates.

  352.  If you do not have one of the above keys you cannot access credit card
  353.  verification, downloading of invoices, or save more than 1 order at a
  354.  time.  There is also about a 20 second delay upon entering the door
  355.  that will dissappear.

  357.  Version 3.4b of The On-Line sales door contains all information.  As of
  358.  this point I will not support any earlier versions of the sales door.

  364.         - When Running Setup if you enter a 'Y' for Credit Cards will
  365.           enable the credit card verification Routines.
